September 2011 - Qeaux Qeaux Joans
Since September I joined the Qeaux Qeaux Joans band with great musicians and really great songs. Genre: Soul, Pop, Rhythm & Blues. Qeaux Qeaux Joans played some festivals, and many concert halls and venues, but she has not released one single yet. November 2011 her first single will be out, followed by the debut album. A new direction for her, because the audiences she reached so far know and love her for her inspiring, sincere live shows. They will play her songs at home too. No doubt about that.

Qeaux Qeaux Jones
What you see (and hear) is what you get. What's true, will survive. She truly believes. And Qeaux Qeaux Joans will, no doubt about that. She tells and sings true stories. Everyone who ever heard her sing, can confirm that. She loves to inspire others too. Worked with many musicians that feel and work that same way. Qeaux Qeaux Joans is eager, eager to connect, to communicate and to therefore make music as much as possible.
The stage is her virtualizer, the soil on which she grew and grows. She loves the Indian Summer, and roadtrippin' through the southern parts of the USA. Her inspirators vary from Edith Piaff, Sea Sick Steve, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Billie Holiday to G.Love & Special Sauce, Antony and the Johnsons, Flying Lotus, Janis Joplin, James Blake, and basically everything that's sincere.
Qeaux Qeaux Joans is sincere. She studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory. But she left, three months before graduating. Yes, Qeaux Qeaux could be called a drop-out. She hates school, learned everything she knows and feels from all she ever saw and witnessed. And, Qeaux Qeaux Joans communicates the very best through music! Yes, she is not mainstream; though, when you look at her, she looks pretty like she is. And yes she is: music. It’s her life! Contradictions by the way, inspire her too.
Thinking about and working on her debut album for the last five years does not seem that strange. Recently she stopped earlier collaborations and started working all by herself. The soil she experienced so far resulted in something beautiful. And it worked out well. She found her own musicians, worked hard with them, and she still is.
